Golden Cobra
Golden Cobra
Overview
Golden Cobra is a Sativa-dominant hybrid weed strain made from a genetic cross between Grape Kush and Tangie, bred by DNA Genetics with THC levels ranging from 19% to 28%. This strain is 70% sativa and 30% indica, making it an ideal choice for both beginner and experienced cannabis consumers. Known for its insanely gorgeous appearance, Golden Cobra packs a super delicious high and flavor with elongated fluffy forest green nugs that are adorned with golden undertones and spattered with light amber hairs, covered with a thick coating of frosty golden-amber crystal trichomes.
Developed as part of the citrus-forward breeding programs of the 2010s, the strain emerged as part of a wave of orange-citrus cultivars that found fame in West Coast markets, particularly Southern California, with Golden Cobra standing out by layering citrus with a grape-kush sweetness. The name Golden Cobra captures both the shimmering, gold-dusted trichomes and the lively, striking effect profile that coils up quickly after a few puffs. While not as ubiquitous as flagship strains, Golden Cobra has quietly become a connoisseur staple, especially among extract makers who value its terpene density and oil yield.

Growing Information
Golden Cobra is easy to grow and suits both indoor and outdoor cultivations. The flowering period takes 8-9 weeks and the plant produces huge yields especially for such short blooming. Plants can be cultivated indoors and outdoors with a flowering time of approximately 55-60 days (8 weeks). This Sativa dominant variety is incredibly rewarding and easy to grow with very high yields. Indoors, yields of 450 to 600 grams per square meter are achievable with strong dialing, while outdoor plants in warm, dry climates can produce 500 to 900 grams per plant when allowed to reach size. Target day temperatures of 75 to 78 degrees Fahrenheit in veg and 72 to 77 in flower, with nights 5 to 10 degrees cooler. Top at the 4th to 6th node in veg, then employ low-stress training or SCROG, with light defoliation around day 21 and day 42 of flower.
