Guayita
Guayita
Also known as: Guava Berry Kush
Guayita Strain Overview
Guayita, also known as Guava Berry Kush, was created by Philosopher Seeds through crossing a Guayaba elite clone (Chemdog x Afghani x Chem91) from the USA with the famous Juanita La Lagrimosa mother plant from Reggae Seeds. This slightly indica dominant hybrid strain (60% indica/40% sativa) was designed to offer a typical USA flavour with the breeder's own touch.
Guayita is a mostly Indica plant, producing a fat and long main cola and few branches, with large dark green leaves which reminds of Guayaba. The strain demonstrates excellent stability with a high calyx-to-leaf ratio and develops a strong central bud with wide dark-green leaves and little branching which makes it perfect for SOG. This bud has fluffy, spade-shaped dark olive green nugs with thick orange hairs and chunky, golden-white crystal trichomes. The strain is notable for its unique combination of genetics that resulted in the earthy smell of Guayaba with the citric taste of Juanita, creating a sweeter and more intense version of Guayaba.

Guayita Strain Growing Information
The difficulty to grow Guayita is known for being average. For growers looking to cultivate indoors, you can expect short height with a yield of 450-550g/m² in about 7-9 weeks. Indoor flowering takes 50-60 days, with outdoor harvest in the Northern Hemisphere occurring in mid-October and Southern Hemisphere in mid-April. Indoor yields range from 450-550 gr/m² while outdoor yields can reach 500-1800 gr per plant. Guava Berry Kush doesn't demand much nutrients and needs to be watered regularly during the flowering period, especially with temperatures above 25°C. It is highly resistant to pests and diseases, also to adverse weather conditions like low temperatures. This Indica structure makes Guayita a perfect strain for Sea Of Green growing (SOG).
