The strain was created by combining the cannabis cup winning Godbud clone (a three way cross of God, Purple Skunk, and Hawaiian) with Blue Hawaiian Sativa and grew out a huge crop for selection. Over multiple generations they backcrossed to the most Hawaiian phenotype, successfully resurrecting the lost genetics they had been craving.
The strain exhibits some of the most colourful and resinous offspring that we've seen in a sativa, with many plants displaying cannabis cup caliber flowers and neon pink pistils. She fills the air with exotic aromas of berry, anise and sweet hash; and produces copious quantities of resin (sometimes purple resin). Her enticing display of vibrant green, lavender and indigo hues tempt the eyes as well as the palette. Hawaiian Puff represents a modern effort to preserve authentic Hawaiian cannabis genetics that were being lost to faster-flowering indoor varieties.
