High Octane OG
High Octane OG
Also known as: High Octane, High Octane Kush, Heirloom OG, Heirloom Kush
Overview
High Octane OG, also known as "High Octane" or "High Octane Kush," is a hybrid strain created through crossing the classic Chemdawg X Lemon Thai X Hindu Kush strains. This potent three-way cross is best known for its super heavy aroma and hard-hitting high that's ideal for kicking back after a long and stressful day when you really want to just be lazy and relax. The strain's genetics remain somewhat debated, with many believing that it is closely related to OG Kush, and some growers arguing that High Octane OG is just a phenotype of OG Kush with an intense diesel-like aroma.
High Octane is a pure indica hybrid strain, and as is typical with indicas, it grows short and bushy, making it an excellent strain to grow indoors where every inch of space is precious. High Octane OG buds have popcorn-shaped minty green nugs with dark undertones, sparse orange hairs and a frosty thick coating of chunky white crystal trichomes. The strain has developed a reputation as one of the hardest-hitting indica strains available, with this pure indica being a top-notch knockout strain that will take out even the heaviest of smokers. Its popularity has grown particularly among extraction artists due to its resin production and complex terpene profile.

Growing Information
High Octane OG is well-suited for indoor cultivation and is relatively easy to manage for both novice and experienced growers. With a flowering time ranging from seven to nine weeks, it can yield up to twenty-one ounces of high-quality herb per plant. The High Octane strain is known for its resistance to molds and pests, making it a preferable choice for those new to cannabis cultivation. However, it is resistant to adverse climatic conditions, diseases, and pests, making it a versatile option for growers to use either indoors or outdoors. High Octane strain produces average-sized plants that grow roughly 2.5-5 feet (30-60 inches). The plants have a very indica-typical structure with dense green nugs, orange pistils, and a thick layer of resinous crystal trichomes and prefer a Mediterranean/temperate climate.
