Iran Yazd is an Iranian landrace "domesticate" from Yazd, sourced by The Landrace Team at latitude 31° N and elevation 1200 m.a.s.l. The Yazd has been grown and worked by local Iranian farmers used to growing it, but remains widely variable and semi-wild, with the domesticated type being more refined, with numerous and nicely formed buds and indica appearance. By Western standards, it may be considered to have a very mild high, estimated at 10-12% THC at most, with its evident value being as a repository of resistance to disease and general hardiness, reflecting its desert heritage. Structurally it is a pretty standard looking plant, with a central cola, evenly spaced side branching and nice consistent tight bud structure. This is a plant that serious hobby growers and smokers genuinely interested in preservation will want to have and explore further, reminiscent of pure Kandahar (Afghanistan) from the old days (1970's).
