J1
J1
Also known as: Jack One, Jack 1, J-1
Overview
J1 is a sativa-dominant hybrid cannabis strain created by crossing Jack Herer and Skunk #1, though some sources indicate it may actually be a cross between Jack Herer and "The One," an old Brotherhood of Eternal Love strain. The strain was originally bred by Mountain Organics more than a decade ago in Southern California as a clone-only variety. J1 has been meticulously cultivated since 2011 and has earned recognition as a flagship strain and multiple award-winning powerhouse, winning first place for Sativa Flower at the 2017 High Times World Cup and placing highly in other competitions.
The flowers display emerald green, pinecone-shaped buds with thick fiery orange pistils and a lovely layer of trichomes that lighten their tones. The buds are frosty with a sweet aroma resembling the unmistakable Jack Herer pungency. J1 is renowned for offering a clear-headed yet potent stone, balancing sativa and indica effects into a pleasant experience. This special strain is revered worldwide by cannabis enthusiasts for its potent yet clear-headed effects, delicious flavor, and pungent aroma, earning fame as a favorite among connoisseurs looking for potency without the fogginess of heavy indicas.

Growing Information
J1 has a relatively short flowering time of 55-65 days (8-9 weeks) when grown indoors. Outdoor cultivation typically provides harvest by September in northern climates. Indoor yields average around 450 grams per square meter, while outdoor grows can produce up to 600 grams per plant. The strain is considered moderately challenging to grow and is not recommended for beginners, requiring good air circulation due to densely packed buds. Indoor cultivators should not vegetate this strain very long as it stretches aggressively during early flowering, typically taking 9-10 weeks total, and tends to form one main cola making it suitable for Sea of Green (SOG) techniques. Growers can expect medium to tall plants with heavy yields and large, emerald green buds generously frosted with crystals.
