This strain is described as a "Gourmet Cannabis variety signed by Annibale Genetics in honor of Jay Kay of Jamiroquai" and was "named in honor of one of the greatest Funk artists of today." The strain is a cross between (Dread Head x Cake Stank) and Lavender Muffin F1 Male (Blueberry Muffin F8 x Lavender Jack Herer). The mother plant Dread Head x Cake Stank has been cultivated by Jrukus Genetics in Arizona, where the local climate features high temperatures and minimal humidity. Jay Cake exhibits a complex flavor profile that combines elements from both parent lineages. The terpene mix leads from various shades of cake, cream, Kush, muffins and cookies to a particular and delicate sweet, slightly acidic and balsamic taste that is difficult to describe or associate with something else existing.
