Jhelum Basin is a pure indica landrace strain from Indian Landrace Exchange that can be cultivated both indoors and outdoors. This broad-leafed and very short plant variety originates from the Neelum district of Azad Kashmir (POK), located along the Neelum river banks which joins the Jhelum river at Muzaffarabad. These are highly fertile regions that, although devastated by the 2005 earthquake, maintain agriculture as one of their main economic forces. The seeds were collected from un-farmed varieties growing naturally near the river basin. The plant flowers very fast every time with great resin production, though it produces very leafy buds and small yields of actual floral bracts. The plant size remains remarkably short with almost no stretch during the flowering stage, featuring huge fan leaves of dark bottle green color. This particular indica cultivar is a stout and short plant that stays around 6 feet maximum with closely held internodes and an overall bushy true indica structure.
