Kalichakra is a sativa-dominant hybrid strain (75% sativa/25% indica) developed by Mandala Seeds, created by crossing Crystal Queen and White Satin strains. Named after the Hindu goddess Kali, consort to the ganja-smoking Lord Shiva, this strain combines unique landrace genetics from South India and the Golden Triangle region of Southeast Asia. Originally developed by crossing South Indian x Southeast Asian landrace varieties, Kalichakra was specifically bred to maintain the potent energizing effects of pure sativas while adapting to indoor cultivation and various growing conditions.

The strain is characterized by its Christmas tree growth pattern with medium to long internodes and conical-shaped buds that peak in towers of calyxes. Plants typically reach 100-120cm in height indoors and exhibit excellent calyx-to-leaf ratios, making harvesting efficient. The buds are medium-sized, long, and tapered with a pepper-like shape, featuring light minty green coloration with rich purple undertones and long, twisty orange hairs. Each nug is densely frosted with milky white crystal trichomes and visible droplets of sticky resin.

Kalichakra is notable for its adaptability and ease of cultivation, performing well in both indoor and outdoor environments, even under low-light conditions. The strain demonstrates good mold and pest resistance, making it suitable for novice growers and stealth cultivation due to its low odor production. It's particularly well-suited for hot climates and can deliver impressive yields of 500-550g/m² indoors and 850-1200g per plant outdoors.
