Kawartha Kush is a modern Canadian-bred hybrid named for the Kawartha Lakes region of Ontario, developed by 7 East Genetics after 4 years in the making and finally released. The strain is created from a complex cross of (Lindsay OG x DreamCoat) x (DreamCoat x Khalifa Kush). Special thanks to Coalition Seed Company for creating DreamCoat (MAC x Magnum Opus m4), as without it this project would not have been possible. The strain's name points to Eastern Ontario's Kawartha Lakes region, where warm days and cool nights create a seasonal rhythm that can push cannabis toward thick resin expression and autumn color, with growers typically seeing first frost in early to mid-October.

Kawartha Kush is a vigorous and lush plant with strong lateral branching. About 25 percent tend to lean more to the DreamCoat side, getting a bit too heavy for their own weight, so some support will be needed during flower. The strain produces classic large Lindsay OG flowers with a terpene spectrum pulling from the Opus Side of the DreamCoat that wakens the senses with its sour fuel and chemical aroma that's very complex and pungent.
