KC 45 Strain Overview
KC 45 is an evenly balanced hybrid (50% sativa/50% ruderalis) strain created as a cross between the sturdy Russian Ruderalis X Brazilian Sativa strains. Like its sister strains KC 33 and KC 36, KC 45 was named for the breeder's age when it was created. The K.C. 45 gets his origin from a seed of a wild Russian plant that K.C. picked up himself in 2004. K.C. then crossed it with an early flowering K.C. 33.
This strain is notable for its unusual partial ruderalis heritage. Ruderalis is a distinct Russian subspecies of cannabis whose most notable characteristic is autoflowering. KC's ruderalis-sativa hybrid, KC-45, bounces back from stress conditions and can perform in cloudy weather due to its ruderalis mother's minimal need for externally triggered flowering. Meanwhile, its sativa father ensures a strong, euphoric high. KC 45 buds have small fluffy bright neon green popcorn-shaped nugs with lots of dark olive green leaves and pale gold twisty hairs. Each nug is super frosty with milky amber trichomes and sticky with sweet syrupy resin.
