What is the Longbottom Leaf strain?
Longbottom Leaf is a hybrid cannabis strain with up to 24.0% THC, known for its euphoric effects and celery and chemical flavor profile.
This sweet, slightly stimulating sativa-dominant hybrid is a mix of Jack's Cleaner and SFV OG. Longbottom Leaf is a slightly sativa-leaning hybrid strain of cannabis that is named after a plant from Tolkein's works. In his books, Longbottom Leaf (also Old Toby, Southern Star, and Southlinch) is the name of a pipe-weed that hobbits enjoy smoking. Cannabis growers, however, have adapted these names to cannabis and named strains after them. This one in particular is quite popular amongst those who get the reference and even those who just enjoy good weed. Longbottom Leaf is a slightly sativa dominant hybrid (60% sativa/40% indica) strain created through crossing the classic Jack's Cleaner X SFV OG strains. Longbottom Leaf develops tall sativa plants with long, thin fan leaves. The strain grows in both indoor and outdoor settings with a flowering time of 55 to 60 days, respectively. At full maturity, Longbottom Leaf produces heart-shaped nugs with mint green coloring and spindly orange pistils. Longbottom Leaf buds often look like they were taken straight out of a fantasy novel. These often heart-shaped buds are mint green in color, and often covered in winding bright orange hairs.
