What is the Maharaja Haze strain?

Maharaja Haze is a sativa cannabis strain, known for its cerebral effects and earthy and haze flavor profile.

Maharaja Haze is a spicy True F1 hybrid developed by Khalifa Genetics through a cross between a pure Indian Landrace from the majestic Kullu valley and an Amsterdam legend, the Amnesia Haze. This almost pure Sativa strain produces long spear shaped colas with a distinct old school woody and hazy smell. The strain was created as part of a unique project made possible thanks to collaboration with CoCo Genes, an Indian Strain Hunter, who collected the North Indian seeds on site, in the Kullu Valley, back in 2017.

This Indian Haze is the perfect combination between the spiciness of the Kullu Landrace and the complex bouquet of Soma's Amnesia. Khalifa Genetics' Maharaja Haze produces a good amount of trichomes thanks to the frosty Amnesia while the Kullu contributes to its very cerebral effects and wild Sativa flavor. One of its most distinctive characteristics is its unusual aroma profile - the delicate Maharajah buds almost don't smell like weed but rather like a spicy Indian dish peppered with exotic culinary herbs. The breeders at Khalifa Genetics stabilized both parental lines for many generations before crossing them, resulting in very high uniformity with all plants having similar growth pattern, floral structure and flowering time.

How do you grow Maharaja Haze?

Flowering time is 11-12 weeks indoors (approximately 100 days total) and harvest occurs at the end of September to October outdoors. Although it is slightly challenging to grow, the Maharaja Haze flowers faster and offers higher yields than its North Indian parent. The plant grows insanely fast because of its Sativa genes and hybrid vigor, with significant flowering stretch, requiring only a couple of weeks of vegetative growth. For indoor cultivation, it requires some previous experience but outdoors anyone can get a great harvest. Indoors it's recommended not to give more than 2 weeks of vegetative growth to prevent excessive height. You can put 9 plants/m2 in 11-liter pots and use apical pruning or FIM to enhance branching. The buds aren't very fat but are extremely long which is perfect in a Screen Of Green (SOG) setup. Plant height is tall with medium yield, suitable for indoor/outdoor/greenhouse cultivation in mild to hot climates.
