Malawi X Skunk is a cannabis strain developed by El Clandestino, created by crossing a pure Malawi landrace variety imported from Africa with Dutch Skunk genetics. El Clandestino, founded in Amsterdam in 2001, is dedicated to producing quality seeds of classic cannabis varieties at affordable prices, with all varieties produced on their farm by experienced Dutch breeders. Despite its African sativa parentage, this strain is described as mostly indica-dominant and can be cultivated indoors.

The strain exhibits typical indica characteristics with very broad leaves, heavy buds with abundant resin production, and some plants turning purple or reddish at harvest time. It displays a rather high flower-to-leaf ratio, heavy aroma and flavor profiles, very strong effects, and average yields. The cross with Skunk genetics has made it very disease resistant.
