Morning Dew is a hybrid cannabis strain with multiple genetic lineages depending on the breeder. The most documented version is created by Irie Genetics as a cross of Grateful Dawg and Arise, while another version comes from cultivators like Cresco Labs/FloraCal as a cross between Alien Bubba and Durban. Grateful Dawg was the first strain to gain attention in Colorado for Irie Genetics and was only available for a short time, creating high demand. The Irie Genetics version uses the "King Solomon" Arise male to pollinate Grateful Dawg female, resulting in offspring that carry gassy Skunk flavor from Kush and Chem grandparents with vigor from the Arise male.
Morning Dew produces stunningly fluffy and dense, popcorn-shaped olive green buds with lots of thin orange hairs and frosty, chunky amber crystal trichomes that are completely coated in droplets of sweet, sticky resin. The Irie Genetics version makes purple and silver tinted pine cone buds that smell like gassy skunk with a hint of berries, offering great bag appeal. These plants grow wide and stout and produce chunky buds, with particularly strong odor that requires extra odor control when flowering and harvesting.

Morning Dew finishes in about 9 weeks (56-70 days) indoors and is one of the earliest finishers outdoors, showing resistance to powdery mildew and botrytis. The strain has relatively moderate growing difficulty, suitable for growers with some experience. It thrives in warm, tropical climates with a growing period of 8-10 weeks. Plants reach heights of 0-4 feet (60-80 inches in some phenotypes) both indoors and outdoors, making them ideal for limited spaces. Indoor growers can expect yields of around 400 g/m² (1-2 oz/ft²), while outdoor plants can produce up to 600g per plant (10-15 oz per plant). Plants produce strong odors requiring extra ventilation and odor control during flowering and harvest.
