According to the breeder's account, very few seeds were discovered in a bag from an accidental cross of a supposed 1975 Panama Red to what they believed to be a random Afghani. A single clone was saved from this accidental breeding that produced exact replica flowers of the Panama Red but in a much shorter plant, with a little more density and a much faster flower time.

The strain represents a fascinating blend of old-school genetics, combining the legendary Panama Red sativa with Afghani indica influences. Panorama is notable for its brilliant red hairs, amazing resin production, and distinctive aroma of rotting tropical fruits. This unique terpene profile reflects its Panama Red heritage, which was renowned in the 1960s and 1970s for its distinctive tropical characteristics. The strain appears to be clone-only, making it extremely rare and difficult to obtain.
