Permafrost
Permafrost
Also known as: Blue Permafrost
Overview
Permafrost is a sativa-dominant hybrid marijuana strain bred by Rogue Buds, though its genetics remain somewhat debated within the cannabis community. Permafrost is a hybrid strain resulting from the genetic cross between Trainwreck and White Widow, though some believe Permafrost to be the love child of Trainwreck and White Widow, others claim it comes from Kali Mist and Trinity Snow. The strain derives its name from its frosty coat of crystal trichomes and fresh pine aroma, creating insanely frosty glittering buds that look almost like bright white snowballs before you break them up and smoke them. Visually, the buds are characterized by dense buds, coated in a blanket of resinous trichomes, with colors ranging from deep forest green to almost entirely purple, accented with fiery orange pistils that add to the visual allure. The strain has gained recognition for its balanced effects, combining the uplifting qualities typical of sativa genetics with the calming properties inherited from its indica lineage.

Growing Information
Permafrost is considered moderately easy to cultivate, making it a suitable option for both novice and experienced growers. It thrives in both indoor and outdoor environments, although outdoor cultivation in temperate climates with moderate humidity tends to yield optimal results. When cultivated indoors, Permafrost typically flowers within 8 to 9 weeks, offering growers a reasonably quick harvest. This strain grows medium-tall and flowers within 8 to 10 weeks. The buds are frosty and resinous, making it a pleasure to cultivate for both beginner and seasoned growers. Yields can be abundant, though, ranging up to 525g/m², though its yield is not the most impressive, but its buds smell phenomenal and glisten in the light. Growers should be prepared for tall plants that offer a moderately challenging experience, due to the need for regular pruning and providing the right nutrition for optimal results.
