Pine Tar Kush
Pine Tar Kush
Also known as: Pine Tar, Pine Tar OG, PTK
Overview
Pine Tar Kush stems from a family of pure indica genetics native to Pakistan, with its origin dating centuries back as a descendant of Pakistani landrace plants. This strain's genetics are pretty much the same as they were hundreds of years ago. It is an old indica line derived from Pakistan import that was introduced to Northern California in the early 1980's, most notably preserved for generations around the Emerald Triangle by Tom Hill. Currently distributed by Old Dreams Genetics, this strain represents one of the few remaining pure indica varieties in today's hybrid-dominated market.
Physically, Pine Tar Kush has small, packed buds with faded green leaves and golden-brown pistils, giving the strain a golden-orange sheen. The buds are covered with a thick coat of golden-brown trichomes filled with cannabinoids and terpenes. The nugs are small and leafy, super round bright neon green with sparse thin orange hairs, frosty gold trichomes, and an almost dripping coating of super sticky resin. This infamous bud is named for its super woody flavor and insanely sticky feel, which explains both its name and popularity among cannabis connoisseurs seeking an authentic landrace experience.

Growing Information
Pine Tar Kush can handle incredibly warm and humid environments but is also suited equally as well to indoor growth. Even if you're short on space, this indica is ideal as her plants end up rather short upon full maturation. In as little as 7 to 9 weeks, Pine Tar Kush can yield home cultivators an impressive harvest with minimal effort. It takes between 7 to 9 weeks for Pine Tar Kush to fully flower indoors and yields an average of 10 to 12 ounces of buds per square meter. Outdoors Pine Tar Kush usually blooms by the last week of September, though flowering can extend up to the second or third week of October, producing at least 12 ounces of buds per plant. Many people mistakenly believe that cultivating Pine Tar Kush is a breeze, but it's trickier than you'd think. Experts claim that this strain is suitable for growers with intermediate skills due to special growing requirements.
