Pure AK is a Sativa/Indica hybrid cannabis strain developed by Female Seeds and introduced to the market in mid-2010. This strain was created by Ferry, Female Seeds' master breeder, who crossed the legendary AK genetics with a specially selected Skunk Special father to preserve the essence of AK while adding distinctive characteristics. The strain has gained recognition as one of the fastest finishing varieties available, completing its full cycle from germination to harvest in just 9 weeks, with flowering taking only 6-7 weeks (approximately 48 days under optimal conditions). Pure AK produces very uniform plants with minimal variation, displaying a medium green color and developing chunky, rock-hard buds that are exceptionally dense and heavily coated with resin. The buds have a distinctive wart-like appearance and are known for their compact structure and incredibly high resin production. One notable characteristic of Pure AK is that some specimens may exhibit occasional leaf mutations due to their complex genetic lineage, though these deformities are normal and do not affect the quality or yield of the final product. The strain is not recommended for outdoor cultivation as its extra-dense bud structure makes it susceptible to mold issues in damp conditions, making it primarily suitable for indoor growing environments.
