What is the Purple Satellite strain?

Purple Satellite is a sativa cannabis strain, known for its uplifted effects and berry and cherry flavor profile.

Purple Satellite is a pure sativa strain developed by Green Mountain Seeds and bred by Vermontman. This strain is a cross of two pure inbred lines: Oaxacan Gold Sativa kept pure since 1979 and a high altitude pure Nepalese Sativa from the highland mountains of Baglung, Nepal. The Nepalese parent was specifically adapted to Denmark for northern latitude cultivation. Purple Satellite is recognized as one of the earliest, highest quality pure sativas available to northern growers, finishing mid to late September when UV-rich sun is still strong for optimal trichome production.

Plants are extremely consistent from seed due to stable lineage and most look like clones. Almost all plants develop pink to fuchsia pistils and purple calyxes even without cold periods. The aroma starts as seriously strong cherry in mid to late bloom, then develops into a complex fragrance of pine, incense with a touch of berry that carries into very smooth smoke. The strain shows remarkable cold, mold, and rain resistance, making it ideal for challenging northern climates.
