Querkle S1 Strain Overview
Querkle S1 is an S1 feminized version of Subcool's Urkle dominant Querkle genotype crossed back on itself with reversed Querkle (Urkle dom) pollen created by Amadeus Genetics. This fem S1 version of Subcool's Querkle was produced with the same fem pollen as Dragon's Queen and Pink Lotus. As a backcross to itself you can expect relatively uniform plants, offering more consistency compared to standard hybrid crosses.
The original Querkle, a cross of a female Purple Urkle cut with pollen from a Space Queen cut, was developed by TGA co-founder Subcool initially bred the strain in a 4-by-6-foot closet in Oregon a decade ago after obtaining an exceptional Purple Urkle clone from a grower named Sticky Lungs. The goal with Querkle, as Subcool tells it, was to capsulize a purple Indica hybrid into seed form that could be used to create a purple line... Subcool bred Querkle to replicate the mother's Purple Urkle grape flavor while speeding growth by adding a Space Queen male. Querkle S1 maintains these characteristics while offering greater genetic stability due to its S1 breeding methodology.
These stand out mainly by an intense flavor (grapey, berry, PEZ), a huge amount of resin and the ability to change color(due to cold temperatures at the end of flowering). The plants mature within 7-8 weeks (12/12) completely and grow extremely slowly and stocky, with the only downside is the extremely slow growth habit.
