This strain was developed through collaboration between the Indian Landrace Exchange and one of the most experienced cultivators in the Balochistan region, renowned for their beautiful purple/red-hued plants and production of potent hashish. The selection process emphasized complete genetic diversity while incorporating traditional local breeding practices where farmers import fully domesticated cannabis varieties from higher latitude regions such as Afghanistan and Uzbekistan to achieve more compact plants with higher concentrations of cannabinoids and terpenes, resulting in more flavorful and potent hashish.

The strain grows tall and robust with heavy lateral branching, flowering in 11-13 weeks with a growing season that typically spans from April to November. Originating from the extremely dry desert climate around Quetta in the mountains of Balochistan, which experiences minimal rainfall during hot months with most precipitation falling as snow during winter, the region is located at approximately 30°N latitude with elevations not exceeding 4000 meters.
