To develop this variety, Reef selected a RezDog Super Silver Sour Diesel male to pollinate the original East coast clone before backcrossing. The result is a slightly more sativa Sour Diesel variety that finishes with good yields, an up high and that sour diesel undertone that everyone loves.
This strain was originally released in the mid-2000s and later underwent name changes, being referred to as both 'Reeferman Sour Diesel' and 'Sour Diesel Kush' at different times. Charles Scott of Reeferman Seeds won his first cup in 2004, the #1 Seed Company Sativa Cup, and has received multiple cannabis awards since, including a win at the 2015 High Times Cannabis Cup in Jamaica.
