Ringo's Gift is a high-CBD strain that crosses Harle-Tsu and ACDC. It is named for the late Lawrence Ringo, a cannabis activist and CBD pioneer. Ringo's Gift by Southern Humboldt Seed Collective is a high-cannabidiol (CBD) strain, which was named in honor of its original breeder, the CBD enthusiast Laurence Ringo. Consequently, it is believed to have been developed by this experienced and well-known team of marijuana breeders and named in honor of its founder, chief expert, and patriarch, Lawrence Ringo. In their quest for therapeutic CBD marijuana strains, they decided to cross two then-popular hemp varieties — ACDC and Harle-Tsu. Initially, they produced a hybrid that contained 10% THC and an equal percentage of CBD, a notable achievement but not their ideal result. After years of meticulous cultivation, they succeeded in developing the phenotype of the Ringo's Gift strain that we know and appreciate today. It is a well-balanced hybrid, consisting of 60% sativa and 40% indica genetics. The CBD to THC ratio soars up to 24 to 1, and in some cases, even higher. Ringo's Gift has not only been recognized for its therapeutic properties but also for its excellence in quality. It proudly claimed the first place for Best CBD Concentrates at the 2015 Socal High Times Cannabis Cup, a testament to its superior quality and effectiveness. For indoor cultivators, Ringo's Gift is a versatile hybrid that hits full maturation within 56-70 days of entering the flower cycle. Cultivated outside, the strain is finished maturing by mid-October in the Northern Hemisphere, or mid-April in the Southern Hemisphere, and produces large flowers with a slightly loose bud structure. Ringo's Gift is described as a moderately-difficult strain to grow, which can flower in as little as 6 to 9 weeks, though 9-10 weeks may be more likely. It can produce yields of around 13 ounces per plant outdoors or roughly an ounce per square foot indoors, and can grow to about six feet tall. Like other high CBD strains, it takes some TLC, making sure to prune it regularly and feed it lots of nutrients and water. It is described as not very resistant to pests. Preferring a warm and sunny outdoor environment, this strain thrives in organic soil that is rich in nutrients, and cold weather is not its friend! Indoor cultivation is also feasible, with controlled temperature and humidity levels being crucial. It has a flowering time of about 9-10 weeks, and it's recommended to top the plants early to promote lateral growth.
