What is the Ripped Bubba strain?

Ripped Bubba is a hybrid cannabis strain with up to 26.0% THC, known for its relaxed effects and berry and candy flavor profile.

Ripped Bubba, also known as "Ripped Bubba Kush" to the majority of the cannabis community, is a slightly indica dominant hybrid (60% indica/40% sativa) strain created by breeders at TGA Genetics as a potent cross between the hugely popular Pre-98 Bubba Kush X Jack the Ripper strains. This bud was bred specifically for the purpose of combining the high THC of Jack the Ripper (22-26%) and the clear-headed calm of Bubba Kush, creating a strain designed to combine incredible high THC and THCv Cannabinoids in Jack the Ripper with the clear calming effect of Bubba Kush. The strain was created by the legendary breeder Dave Bowman, aka "Subcool," who died on Feb 1 of 2020, but his spirit lives on through his line of cannabis strains known as "The Dank." The Dank are strains that are extremely potent, with high THC percentages.

Ripped Bubba has dense round, spade-shaped bright neon green nugs with long thin bright orange hairs and a thick spattering of olive green leaves. These nugs are frosty with white crystal trichomes and a fine layer of syrupy sweet resin, with buds made up of chiseled and compact lime-green leaves with orange pistils running through the buds like veins. In fact, Subcool went with the name "Ripped Bubba" because the buds were reminiscent of a chiseled bodybuilder, complete with pistil veins and trichome striations. This indica-dominant powerhouse routinely tests over 25%, and has a thick musky scent reminiscent of wet-soil, with sweet hints of citrus fruits and berries. The strain has a short 56-60 day flowering phase and can be cultivated indoors and outdoors.
