Roadkill Afghani is a legendary indica-dominant strain developed by Riot Seeds through extensive breeding work with multiple Afghani landrace lines. The breeders spent considerable time hunting through various Afghani genetics including Herat, Kandahari, and three types of Mazar until they found a phenotype with "pure acrid ammonia... with a shitload of Skunk Spray" that reminded them of authentic roadkill skunk aroma from decades past. This strain is a cross between a carefully selected Heirloom Afghani female and Sour Dubb (Cannaradio cut), creating an F1 hybrid that reliably produces the desired roadkill skunk characteristics.

The strain represents a throwback to old-school cannabis genetics from the 1970s-1980s era when pungent, sulfur-laden aromas were prized. Roadkill Afghani grows as a short, squat plant with strong stem structure and extremely dense buds, characteristic of classic Afghani genetics from the Hindu Kush region. The breeder specifically notes this strain has "massive density" and exceptional resin production, calling it "the creme de la creme of afghanis and hashplants." The plants exhibit broad, dark olive fan leaves with tight internodal spacing and develop dense, golf-ball to soda-can sized colas with heavy trichome coverage and a high calyx-to-leaf ratio.
