Rosso Corsa

Hybrid

Also known as: Rosso Corsa F1

Rosso Corsa Strain Overview

Rosso Corsa is a slightly indica dominant hybrid strain (60% indica/40% sativa) created through crossing the delicious Cherry Noir #18 X Testarossa strains. The strain was originally discovered by Aficionado French Connection through a collaboration with BackYard BCN, a prestigious French-owned cannabis club in Barcelona. Like its sibling 'Cherry Noir', Rosso Corsa is a cross between Cherry Noir #18 and a Testarossa male. The genetic lineage traces back to Cherry Lime #4 x Chemdawg Special Reserve crossed with Zkittlez x Long Valley Reserve BX1.

Rosso Corsa produces flowers with an intense dark red colour that contrasts nicely with the deep green colour of the leaves. It produces quite a distinctive and particular type of resin, extremely oily when touched, which contains a large amount of cannabinoids and an impressive concentration of volatile terpenes. The buds have rounded fluffy olive green nugs with dark purple undertones, vivid yellow-orange hairs and a coating of frosty tiny purple-white crystal trichomes. Rosso Corsa grows vigorously up to a rather large size, which shouldn't be overlooked by growers with space constraints. The strain has become particularly renowned among extraction enthusiasts due to its exceptional resin production and terpene profile.

Rosso Corsa Strain Growing Information

Rosso Corsa can be cultivated indoors and outdoors with a flowering time of approximately 60 days (8-9 weeks). The plant grows vigorously up to a rather large size, which shouldn't be overlooked by growers with space constraints. This hybrid develops vigorously and rapidly, with a relatively long stretch period that can last several weeks at the onset of flowering. It is necessary to keep the plants well watered during the last weeks of flowering to avoid early resin maturation, which is a common feature observed in all varieties with Cherry Pie genetics. The strain is surprisingly smelly, so much so that the use of anti-odour filters is sure to be necessary during the drying stage to remain unnoticed. Expected yield is high, making it particularly suitable for extraction work.
