Royal Gorilla is the European version of the famous Gorilla Glue #4 strain that was subjected to legal name changes in the US. The strain emerged from an accidental breeding event when Joesy Whales and Lone Watie discovered that Joesy's Chem Sister plants hermaphrodited and pollinated his Sour Dubb plants. This unexpected cross between Sour Dubb, Chem Sister, and Chocolate Diesel resulted in one of the most resinous and potent strains in cannabis history.
Royal Gorilla is a balanced 50/50 indica/sativa hybrid that produces THC levels ranging from 24-26%, with some exceptional phenotypes reaching up to 30% under optimal growing conditions. The strain quickly gained international recognition, winning 1st place in the New Strains category and 3rd place in the Indica category at the Highlife Cannabis Cup. Royal Gorilla is renowned for its exceptional resin production, creating incredibly sticky buds covered in crystalline trichomes that sparkle in sunlight. The buds display a vivid bright green color with deep emerald hues, accented by bright orange pistils that curl and twist throughout the trichome-laden flowers.
