Shark Strain Overview

Shark is an indica-dominant hybrid cannabis strain created by Spanish breeder Pyramid Seeds through the crossbreeding of Super Skunk and Northern Lights genetics. This strain should not be confused with Great White Shark, as it represents a distinct lineage from the classic indica families rather than the 'White Family' strains. Developed to showcase the best characteristics of its legendary parent strains, Shark exhibits the robustness and ease of cultivation associated with Northern Lights while incorporating the potent resin production and aromatic qualities of Super Skunk.

The strain presents as a compact plant with thick, sturdy stems and wide olive-green leaves that develop large, resin-filled buds. The flowers are notably dense and roundish, covered extensively in sticky resin that can coat even the leaves closest to the buds. The heavy trichome production is so abundant that it can cause leaves and branches to bend under the weight, often requiring structural support during flowering. The visual appeal is enhanced by the crystalline appearance of the heavily frosted buds, which display a frosty, snow-like coating of trichomes that gives the strain its distinctive appearance.

Shark Strain Growing Information

Shark is considered an easy-to-grow strain suitable for both beginner and experienced cultivators. The plant shows high resistance and adapts well to different growing conditions. Indoor flowering time is approximately 55-56 days (8 weeks), though some growers prefer an additional week to enhance effects. Indoor yields range from 500-600g/m² under 600W lighting. The plant grows to a compact 60-130cm in height indoors. Outdoor cultivation produces larger plants up to 200cm tall with potential yields of 500-1200g per plant, harvesting in September in the Northern Hemisphere. The strain requires good air filtration when grown indoors due to its extremely pungent aroma. Support structures are recommended due to heavy resin production causing branches to bend.
