Sherbert OG
Also known as: Sunset Sherbet, Sherbet, Sherbert, Sunset Sherbert
Overview
Sherbert OG, also known as Sherbet, Sherbert, Sunset Sherbet, or Sunset Sherbert, is an indica-dominant hybrid marijuana strain created through crossing Girl Scout Cookies with Pink Panties. The strain was accidentally produced in San Francisco Bay when Mr. Sherbinski introduced a male Pink Panties into a room of GSC he was growing at his grandmother's house. This strain exhibits an 85% indica to 15% sativa ratio, positioning it as a predominantly relaxing variety with some uplifting qualities. It earned third place at the 2017 Amsterdam Cannabis Cup for best Coffeeshop Flower, showcasing its quality and international recognition. The strain features dense little buds that are forest green with darker highlights of greens and purples, with vibrant orange pistils woven throughout and a thick coating of yellow trichomes. Originating in Northern California, its clone-only cut facilitated by Dark Heart Nursery has bolstered its availability and cultivation across regions. Known for its dessert-like qualities, this strain features a sweet, dessert-like flavor profile with notes of skunky citrus, sweet berry, and candy.

Growing Information
Sunset Sherbet is a simple indica-dominant strain to grow due to its ability to be grown outdoors and indoors and the low maintenance it requires during the growing cycle. Indoor flowering time is approximately 8 weeks, while outdoor harvest occurs between late September and early October. Indoor growers can expect yields of about 8 ounces per square meter, while outdoor growers report around 11 ounces per plant. The plant loves a warm, Mediterranean-type climate and grows to a medium height between 30 and 78 inches. The strain is naturally resistant to many common mildews and molds, producing great results even for beginner growers. Growing difficulty is considered moderate to easy, making it suitable for both novice and experienced cultivators.
