SKU3K F1 is part of Hyp3rids' new 'Skunk Redux' project, which has been in development for several years and represents the breeders' efforts to recreate and modernize the classic Skunk genetics. The project began with the Colombian Gold Legacy Edition and involved selecting a quality 'Mazar' Afghan partner from Ortega seeds. The selected Ortega female was pollinated with Mountain Organics Acapulco Gold BC1 male pollen, creating the F1 offspring that became SKU3K F1. The structural characteristics of most phenotypes are heavily influenced by the Ortega mother, producing plants that remain very squat in appearance with minimal stretch during flowering, then bulk up massively and ooze with resin. The plants stay light green without purple coloration and produce distinctive aromas ranging from rotten fruit/funk to lemon Pledge/funk, with sweet/acidic notes creating a tart concoction that lingers on the nostrils. The Ortega genetics contribute significant muskiness to the overall profile. This strain represents a modern interpretation of classic Skunk genetics, combining the legendary Acapulco Gold sativa heritage with the robust Afghan indica foundation.
