Snowdawg is a sativa-dominant strain from the Chemdawg family that came out of the latter ChemDawg projects happening on the East Coast. The genetics of this quick flowering cannabis strain includes a bubble chemdawg clone crossed to an Oregon Snow and Super Skunk. The sweetest and quickest to harvest of all the original ChemDawg varieties, the SnowDawg (sometimes known as "Super SnowDawg") yields well and forms pointed light green colas which appear almost white with trichomes. The influence of the Bubbleberry is evident in the aroma and flavor, which sweetens up the often acrid Chem family. This strain has gained recognition in the cannabis community, having won the 4 Place at the The Karma Cup 2016 in the category Sativa. The strain presents with cured buds that are shaped like spades and have a multitude of brown pistils spread all over its deep green flowers, covered in a distinctive layer of trichomes that gives it an almost snow-white appearance, hence its name. The cultivar has become increasingly sought after for its unique combination of cerebral effects and manageable physical relaxation.

The flowering time for Snow Dog strain is approximately 54 to 65 days, though some sources indicate 8 to 9 weeks when grown indoors. Indoor growers can expect to harvest around 2 to 3 ounces per square foot (approximately 550 grams per square meter). For outdoor cultivation, the yield is typically less than 5 ounces per plant (under 150 grams). Responds well to training rather than topping, as it produces a good yield from the main colas and will branch out a bit if super-cropped. As a rule, growing this one in soil gives the most pungent aroma and flavor, while hydro will produce a slightly more impressive-looking plant with additional resin coverage.
