Sour Stomper is an autoflowering hybrid strain developed by Mephisto Genetics through a cross between Sour Crack and Grape Stomper OG. This strain was created in collaboration with GBD from the Autoflower Network, making it the first Mephisto variety where someone else had a hand in the project. The strain was introduced to the cannabis market in the latter part of the 2010s and quickly gained recognition for its complex genetic makeup and distinctive potency.
The strain exhibits unique growth characteristics, beginning life with a squat, indica-like appearance but stretching dramatically during flowering, often quadrupling in height and displaying its OG heritage. Plants typically reach heights of 80-120 cm and yield 120-150 grams per plant in 65-70 days from germination. Sour Stomper is notable for its exceptional trichome production, described as 'frostiliscious,' making it one of the frostiest strains in Mephisto's catalog.
