This mostly sativa hybrid features a complex three-way lineage crossing New York Candy Orange × Gorilla Bubble × Sowah (Sour Diesel BX4), with a flowering time of 70-77 days. The strain represents an evolution of the breeder's work with grapefruit-forward genetics, utilizing a grapefruit keeper phenotype from The Orange Grapefruit Rabbit Hole that had been held for years specifically for this breeding project.

This strain combines the legendary New York Candy Orange (NYCD × Agent Orange) which took 3rd place Indica at the 2013 ICMAG 430 cup with TGTB's signature Gorilla Bubble line, which became the backbone of the Tortured Beans lineup after 6 years of development, and the refined Sowah (Sour Diesel BX4).
