Space Candy
Space Candy
Also known as: Space Candy Kush
Overview
Space Candy was originally developed by Heroes of the Farm by crossing Space Queen and Cotton Candy strains, though some sources reference it as being bred by TGA SubCool's The Dank as a sativa-dominant hybrid between Cotton Candy Kush and Space Queen. This beautifully balanced hybrid represents a perfect 50/50 split between indica and sativa genetics, combining the best characteristics of both parent strains. With THC levels typically ranging from 17-22%, Space Candy offers moderate potency suitable for both new and experienced consumers. The strain produces small, compact light forest green buds with bright orange hairs and a sticky coating of resin topped with oversized chunky amber trichomes. Once mature, Space Candy produces green buds with colorful flashes of violet and red in various shades, each tapered on one end and blunt on the other. Originally one of Colorado's best-selling strains, Space Candy caught the attention of many enthusiasts for its candied appearance and taste, though it remains difficult to find outside of Colorado.

Growing Information
Space Candy is considered an amazingly easy grow that starts fast and maintains growth rate throughout flowering. The plant has hardy stalks and branches that can withstand unpredictable environmental factors like strong winds, high moisture, and pests when grown outdoors. It flourishes well indoors with a height that fits most growing spaces, rarely requiring the vegetative stage to be cut short. Indoor flowering time is 8-9 weeks, with indoor yields of 12-14 ounces per square meter. Outdoor plants produce at least 14 ounces per plant and flower early, typically ready for harvest in the second to third week of October. The strain's branchy structure and fast expansion necessitate Sea of Green or Screen of Green methods. Using organic soil medium enhances the strain's flavors, though growers may need odor control systems due to the pungent terpene profile during flowering. The strain enjoys intense light and is nutrient tolerant.
