Space Queen
Space Queen
Also known as: Space Jill, SpaceJill
Overview
Space Queen is a legendary balanced hybrid cannabis strain created by famed breeder Vic High of the British Columbia Growers Association. Space Queen is a hybrid marijuana strain made by crossing Romulan and Cinderella 99. The strain was later initially bred by Vic High of BC Growers Association (BCGA), is now extinct. Brought back from Canada by TGA seeds, the original F2's were then crossed with Orange Velvet, creating the Space Queen we know today. As you can see in the family tree, the main strain of TGA Subcool's catalogue is Space Queen, which is a very fruity hybrid of two famous marijuana strains: C99 (Sativa) and Romulan (Indica). TGA offers two different selections of this strain: Space Bomb and Space Jill.
Space Queen is 50% sativa and 50% indica, giving it myriad effects, though some sources describe it as approximately 60% sativa, 40% indica. The strain produces dense, medium-sized buds shaped like elongated cones. Its buds are a vibrant lime green with streaks of darker forest green, often interspersed with orange or rust-colored pistils. A frosty coating of milky trichomes gives the buds a shimmering appearance, hinting at their potency. Vic is such an influential cannabis breeder that Subcool-TGA has used Space Queen as a starting point for many of his most popular strains.

Growing Information
Some skill is required to grow this plant, so it might not be best for novices. However, experienced growers will be stoked about the power of the finished product. Harvest indoors occurs after 50–60 days of flowering. Growing indoors to a manageable 100–150cm tall, Space Queen is a medium sized 50/50 sativa/indica hybrid, but with with some plants going full sativa. Leaning towards a sativa in growth pattern, yields aren't great, but the quality sure is. Space Queen is known to yield 400 grams per square meter indoors and 550 grams per square meter outdoors. The strain benefits from 'screen of green' (SCROG) training, and it may be necessary to train plants this way if the indoor setup is small. This plant may need topping multiple times in the vegetative period to keep on top of its height.
