Overview
Star Pupil is the most famous Purple strain out of Massachusetts and Mass Medical Strains' flagship cultivar that launched them as world renowned breeders. The strain originated from crossing genetics from seeds gifted by a friend, with supposed Thai/Afghan/Pakistan genetics that were recently confirmed correct by genetic mapping. This plant stood out superbly even in vegetative stage, became the exact plant they were hoping for, and was named Star Pupil, which would stick with them forever. Notable mentions include High Times Flower of the Month in January 2017 and cultivation by medical growers and dispensaries to help people in need. Star Pupil is one of a kind and unrelated to any of the mainstream purple strains out there, with people trying to claim it's similar to other strains, but when grown alongside any of them, it proves to be a totally unique creation unlike any other purple plant. The flowers are fully purple from the start of flower under any temperatures, with no cold needed for the purple coloration to show. Purple colors typically appear between day 8-14 of the flower cycle with buds being deep purple throughout, and purple trichomes are common. In cold temperatures, buds can actually go fully black in color.

Growing Information
Flower time is 9 weeks indoors and finishes by end of September outdoors. Stretch is medium - taller than a short indica but nothing extreme like a pure sativa. Plants are extremely consistent, uniform, stable and stress resistant even as feminized varieties. They like a little longer initial vegetative time from seed to become established and grow excellent from clone. Best results when branches are spread out with stakes or netting. The plant does better when watered less often - allow roots to get very dry before watering for best results. Do not remove large feeder leaves in veg or it will slow down growth. Indoor yields of 400-550 g/m² and outdoor yields 600-1200 g/plant under favorable conditions. Environmental targets include 72-79°F days, 64-70°F nights with RH 45-55% early flower and 40-45% late flower.
