Strawberry Akeil is a sativa-dominant hybrid strain (60% sativa/40% indica) created through crossing the powerful AK-47 and Bubble Gum strains. This potent and flavorful strain was created by Serious Seeds in collaboration with German hip hop star King Keil. King Keil, a German hip-hop artist and cannabis connoisseur, participated in the strain's development by testing several phenotypes and was so inspired by the results that he wrote a song dedicated to it, which appears on his album "Weedman Returns".
The strain represents a masterful combination of genetics, retaining some of the best qualities from both parent strains. From AK-47, Strawberry Akeil has inherited its heavy trichome coat and mightily strong effect, while from Bubble Gum it gained its delicious strawberry smell and taste. The buds are characterized by long and fluffy pepper-shaped forest green nugs with thin orange hairs and a coating of chunky white crystal trichomes. Medium-sized plants develop an abundance of buds with an insane amount of trichomes, producing an intense strawberry aroma during flowering. This strain was initially released as a limited edition of 4,000 packages, highlighting its special status in the cannabis community.
