Strawmelon

Hybrid

Strawmelon Strain Overview

Strawmelon is a evenly balanced hybrid strain (50% indica/50% sativa) created through crossing the delicious Strawberries & Cream X Fresca Melon strains. Developed by The Grateful Seeds, this strain originated from an own selection of Strawberry and Cream F2 from Exotic Genetix, in which the objective was to obtain a plant with marked notes of strawberries in its aroma and flavor. Finally, #24 was chosen by The Grateful Seeds, a specimen with this curious flavor that also had a large amount of resin and rock-hard buds. The male parent used was Fresca Melon, a magnificent Sativa-dominant variety that comes from the Dying Breed Seeds collection and is a cross between Zkittlez and Watermelon Zkittlez.

This strain exhibits oversized tapered spade-shaped emerald-green nugs with dark purple leaves, super thin orange hairs and chunky white trichomes. Strawmelon recently took first place at the Full Moon Sesh in Madrid showing the potential of these impeccable fruit-rich hash washing genetics. The strain is noted for being easily adaptable to all types of environments and cultivation techniques, from indoor grow tents to large greenhouses or outdoor growing areas.

Strawmelon Strain Growing Information

Strawmelon is a versatile plant that is easily adaptable to all types of environments and cultivation techniques, from indoor grow tents to large greenhouses or outdoor growing areas. Its flowering lasts about 9 weeks, during which time it develops a very good production of rocky buds completely covered by glandular trichomes. Outdoors it will be ready for harvest in October, with an excellent yield if the care has been adequate. Due to its vegetative vigor and growth pattern, with a great profusion of lateral branches, it is an excellent candidate for the SCROG technique or for large outdoor plants. Testing has shown us that the Strawmelon is a heavily yielding production plant that yields better than her parents and returns good quantities of ultra terpy, sandy big trichome heads. Both indoor and outdoor production are rated as high.
