Super Malawi Haze Strain Overview
Super Malawi Haze is a direct hybrid crossing a Neville's Haze mother plant selected by Neville himself in the early 90's with ACE Seeds' best Malawi Killer phenotypes. The result is an extremely vigorous and highly productive super-hybrid of practically pure sativa (90%) genetics, which produces huge and very resinous colas, with excellent density and great flower/leaf ratio, which come together forming enormous floral structures that reach monumental proportions. Genetically, the strain is 50% Malawi and 50% Neville's Haze, where Neville's Haze is a Northern Lights #5 x Haze cross that was backcrossed with Haze, using Neville's A and C Haze males.
Because Super Malawi Haze is a polyhybrid, it is more variable, and three main phenotypes can be found, with the first two being the most frequent: Neville's Haze Pheno (very consistent phenotype faithful to the best traits of tamed Haze), Malawi Pheno (more African phenotype recognizable by its distinctive golden/silverish appearance), and Near-Pure Haze Pheno (the most variable and least frequent pheno, less than 10%). The terpenes of the pure Haze A and C parents that make up Neville's Haze are dominant in this hybrid: sweet and floral aromas of Central American sativa, incensed and woody aromas of classic Haze, with the resinous and fermented background of the Malawi to add depth. This strain represents one of the first joint projects between ACE Seeds and Yo Sammy, a member of the small group of growers in South Holland who have preserved the elite clones of Neville's Haze hybrids for almost 3 decades.

Super Malawi Haze Strain Growing Information
Flowering time indoors: 11-16 weeks. Flowering outdoors: November to early December. Yield: Very High. Grow difficulty: Advanced. Outdoors it can be cultivated up to latitude 43º, showing very good resistance against botrytis, although it thrives best in tropical and subtropical climates. Indoors it requires strong lighting with training techniques like SCROG or SOG. ACE Seeds recommends an 11/13 light cycle to boost flowering and avoid reflowerings or excessive stretching, and can reduce to 10/14 from the second half of flowering. High levels of nutrients are recommended for the whole cycle. Structure: Tall sativa, very vigorous and branched that requires space. Plant height can reach monumental proportions and is suitable for experienced growers only due to its long flowering time and space requirements.
