Swiss Bliss Strain Overview

Swiss Bliss is a sativa-dominant hybrid strain (75% sativa/25% indica) created through descendants of a Swiss sativa parent, though the exact lineage remains debated among breeders. This strain has a fascinating backstory - it descended from a Swiss sativa plant that was seized by police but eventually given asylum in Holland at Paradise Seeds. The strain is believed to be a blend of a Swiss native Sativa landrace with another hybrid indica strain. Swiss Bliss buds have airy oversized pepper-shaped minty green nugs with gorgeous lavender undertones, thin orange hairs and a coating of tiny, silvery lavender-tinted crystal trichomes. The abundant growth and branching pattern makes this variety ideal for pruning, allowing fewer plants per square meter while still achieving terrific yields of very nice long sticky buds.

Swiss Bliss Strain Growing Information

Swiss Bliss has a flowering period of 9 weeks (±63 days) and can be cultivated both indoors and outdoors. When given adequate space to spread its limbs, plants can yield up to 400 grams per square meter. Space may be a concern as they are known for their abundant branching, but when given the space, they can produce very high yields. Although Swiss Bliss is a survivor outdoors with commendable hardiness for a delicate sativa, the long flowering period encourages most gardeners more than 35 degrees North or South of the equator to keep this as an indoor plant. The crop of this strain is great and is considered extraordinary and quite recommendable. Paradise Seeds recommends maintaining a multi-branch plant but pruning so that the plant's energies are focused on a few budding sites for more concentrated flowers and easier manicuring.
