Love Genetics created this high-CBD strain by taking a cutting of an 18:1 CBD:THC AC/DC that tested out at 25.09% CBD and 1.38% THC and reversed it to create feminized pollen. After pollinating the mother with herself, Love Genetics produced three different phenotypes with high CBD-to-THC ratios: 18:1, 19:1, and 22:1.
Love Genetics has since taken the seeds off the market and donated the plant to a charity in Santa Cruz, California, making The Love no longer commercially available. However, the breeder has used the genetics to create Sol Love, which is the basis for several current strains, including Burnin' Love, Forbidden Love, Heavenly Love, and others. Due to its extremely high CBD content and minimal THC levels, The Love was designed for medical use without psychoactive effects, inheriting the therapeutic properties of its AC/DC parent strain.
