Tiborszallasi Strain Overview
Tiborszallasi is a dioecious hemp variety originating from Hungary that was created in Hungary by the company Agromag Kft. This variety was selected from Italian-origin hemp grown around Tiborszállás and was officially recognized in 2000. Originally developed to produce fiber but is now chosen for the production of inflorescences and extracted biomass (CBD), it has become one of the most cultivated legal varieties in all of Europe for its therapeutic chemotype and its large biomass production.
The plant exhibits distinctive characteristics with dark green leaves, a lighter green grooved stem, and 9 mini-leaves on each leaf. If sown for fiber, the average height is 250-300 cm, while for seed production it can reach 4-5 meters, making it a tall-growing variety that requires adequate space and proper harvesting equipment. The strain is noted for producing especially resinous flowers with dark tones that give it a very striking appearance, and the trichomes of this splendid hemp variety can be observed without the use of a powerful magnifying glass.

The variety reportedly prefers well-draining fields and soil type, and has high water requirements for biomass & CBD late in the season. It performs well from northern Scandinavia to southern Mediterranean basin, showing excellent adaptability.
