Trinity
Trinity
Also known as: Trinity OG, Elephant Killer
Overview
Trinity is a sativa-dominant hybrid (sativa/indica ratio of 75:25) that has a devoted following despite its rarity. This strain's family history remains something of a mystery, though it apparently resulted from the crossing of several sativa strains out of Northern California. The Trinity was bred in Wichita, Kansas and imported to Montana by Jeremy P. Trinity's lineage remains a mystery, though it is widely believed to have originated from a combination of three Northern California strains in the 1980s. Some sources suggest it resulted from crossing multiple Northern California strains including possibly Purple Kush, USA, and Kalifornien varieties, with the strain being transported from Kansas to Montana and Oregon. Trinity produces dense, conical buds covered in crystalline trichomes with bright orange pistils weaving through lime-green calyxes. The taste of the smoke is sweetly berry with a hint of pine, while the flavor and aroma are predominantly skunky, with sweet, pungent undertones. Users often describe tasting piney and blueberry-like notes. The strain has gained legendary status among cannabis enthusiasts, with some referring to it as the 'Girl Scout Cookie or Gorilla Glue #4 of the 90's' and earning the nickname 'Elephant Killer' for its potent effects.

Growing Information
Trinity has a flowering time of 40 to 48 days indoors according to some sources, though other sources indicate 8-10 weeks. It creates a tall, high-yielding plant with outdoor harvest occurring in late September to early October in the Northern Hemisphere. Indoor yields range from 450-600 grams per square meter, while outdoor plants can produce up to 600 grams per plant or 24 ounces per plant according to some sources. Trinity grows short and stout, growing well in small spaces such as grow tents, growboxes, or closets, reaching heights of 0-4 feet both indoors and outdoors. Growing Trinity is considered moderately challenging, requiring careful attention to environmental variables with optimal temperatures between 68-77°F (20-25°C) and relative humidity of 40-50% during vegetative stage and 35-45% during flowering. The strain is available only as clones or feminized seeds, not regular seeds.
