The strain was created after the breeder saw a photo of 'Sour Turbo' (Double Sour Diesel x ECSD) online and was inspired to make this cross. The breeder found a short and stout Sour Turbo male and pollinated it with Advanced Seeds' Black Diesel, which was chosen for its excellent canopy structure and easy growing characteristics. Cabin Fever Seed Breeders was founded in Northern California in 2010 as a consortium of three independent growers and breeders.
Triple Deez plants stay on the shorter side with about 50% stretch, branch very well, and yield nicely, making them suitable for small growing areas. The strain exhibits a high calyx to leaf ratio and great trichome production, with very low odor when growing but producing a pure diesel aroma when cured. The strain's genetic lineage traces back to Afghanistan, Colombia, and Mexico through its parent strains, combining diesel genetics with international landrace influences to create a unique sativa-dominant hybrid.
