The strain was developed when Black Water Creek Cannabis provided the TWANG genetics that became foundational to the entire TWANG line developed by Medicinal Garden.

Twisted Diesel is characterized as an indica-dominant hybrid with distinctive visual characteristics during the flowering phase. The strain exhibits a unique trait where the leaves turn black during late flowering, serving as a harvest indicator.
