Urban Poison
Urban Poison Strain Overview
Urban Poison is a slightly sativa-dominant hybrid (60% sativa/40% indica) strain created through crossing the famous Durban Poison with Northern Lights, then backcrossed with the parent Durban Poison again. Eventually, breeders came up with this sativa-dominant variety that retains the aroma of juniper berries and trippy high of its South African parent while maintaining the structure and potency of modern indoor production strains. Urban Poison's flowers stand out with their large size and overall solid formation, featuring tight, long, and spongy foxtail-shaped olive green nugs with dark purple hairs and a thick, frosty coating of milky amber trichomes and sweet sticky resin. Like its parents, Urban Poison has a classic smell and taste of spicy earthy pine with fresh pine and juniper smells that remind one of walking under a canopy of cedar trees where pine needles blanket the ground. The strain demonstrates uniform, stable, and compact structure typical of modern indoor production strains, with the sativa dominance offset by a significant blend of indica making it a fairly robust plant that is easy to grow and accommodating of temperature fluctuations within reason.

Urban Poison Strain Growing Information
Urban Poison can be grown indoors or outdoors and may thrive particularly well outdoors thanks to its hardy landrace roots. These plants tend to grow tall and branchy and may need to be pruned back somewhat if grown inside. Urban Poison flowers within 9 to 11 weeks when grown indoors and is ready for harvest in late October when cultivated outdoors. The strain offers a moderate yield of flowers at maturity. Average yield is 400-500 g/m² in SOG (Sea of Green) cultivation method, suitable for both indoor and outdoor growing with a flowering period of 9-11 weeks. As it grows, Urban Poison takes on the characteristic Christmas-tree shape, with the sativa dominance offset by significant indica genetics making it a fairly robust plant that is easy to grow and accommodating of temperature fluctuations within reason.
