Xanadu Strain Overview
Xanadu, named after the extravagant palace of Mongol emperor Kublai Khan, is a sativa-dominant strain that delivers soaring cerebral euphoria alongside a skunky, citrus aroma. Bred by Dutchgrown Seeds, Xanadu combines a Pakistani indica called X-18 with DTC99, a Cinderella 99 and Durban Thai hybrid. The strain receives its genetics from crossing four different strains: the indica South Asian, sativa Durban Poison, sativa Thai, and hybrid Cinderella 99. The Xanadu strain is a 75% sativa-dominant hybrid (75% sativa/25% indica). Unfortunately, Xanadu was a limited release and not many seeds were available.
This bud has large fluffy spade-shaped forest green nugs with light minty green leaves, light amber hairs, and a super frosty coating of tiny white crystal trichomes. It produces a lovely scent reminiscent of sweet butter, blueberries, and vanilla. Its flavor is that of blueberry pie and lemony undertones. Xanadu has a surprisingly pleasant aroma. This is a pungent strain that you can expect to smell from some distance away, with buds that fill the air with scent. Luckily, the aroma is one of sweetness, differing slightly from most marijuana strains. Although this sativa tends to induce heady, high-energy stimulation, Xanadu anchors itself with mellow relaxation that allows one to remain comfortable during the effects' duration.

Xanadu Strain Growing Information
Xanadu is a moderately tricky strain to grow. Cultivators find it works best with the SoG method. It grows tall and produces an average yield. Xanadu is mostly sativa from Dutchgrown Seeds and can be cultivated indoors and outdoors (Where the plants will need a flowering time of ±62 days). The strain prefers to be grown indoors and needs between eight and nine weeks to finish flowering. Some have reportedly had success growing this strain outdoors. Growers recommend topping these plants multiple times, beginning with the sixth internode. It can do well in a Sea of Green. Indoor growers can expect to yield around 400-500 grams per square meter, while outdoor cultivators can achieve even higher yields, reaching up to 600 grams per plant.
